Annual Community Shredding Event

This past Saturday, EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley hosted a ‘Shred the Word’ event in its parking lot at 99 Marcus St in Hamilton.  The large shredding truck from Tear It Up loaded the private documents of local residents into its hopper and shredded it all in no time.

“We are very pleased to provide this service to our community,” said Max Coleman, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley.  “We would very much like to thank the Ravalli County Family of Banks and Tompkins & Peters for their generous support.  This event is an opportunity to educate the public about and assist them in protecting their identities by shredding their private documents.”

Despite the inclement weather, residents enjoyed coffee and donuts supplied by Justine Wagner of the Ravalli Republic.  EXIT Realty volunteers loaded the hoppers providing a drive through service. In total, 6,742 pounds of paper was shredded.  The shredded paper will be delivered to a recycling plant where it will find new life in such things as egg cartons or paper napkins.
