Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build

EXIT Realty Montana Participates in Blitz Build

Stevensville, Montana was the site this past weekend of Habitat for Humanity’s newest home build.  This build was unique in that the shell of the home was completed in a three day blitz build.  The lumber was donated by the Montana Lumber Association.  All the pre-cutting was completed by the School of Technology carpentry students in Missoula.  In addition to providing volunteers, EXIT Realty Montana fed all volunteers over the three day build.  The event attracted the Governor and many other dignitaries.

“This has been a very rewarding experience,” said Max Coleman, Regional Owner of EXIT Realty Montana.  “Communities, organizations and individuals from all over the valley have come together to build Lori and Miranda their home.  We thank the fifteen churches that provided the side dishes each day.  I particularly appreciate our EXIT Realty Bitterroot Valley and Missoula agents who freely gave their time this weekend.”

Both Lori and her daughter, Miranda, were on site over the weekend helping with various aspects of the build earning hours towards their required 500 sweat equity hours.  Volunteers signed the inside walls as a permanent reminder of the house community built.

“The whole experience has been truly inspirational,” said Coleman.  “We are looking forward to providing the food at the dedication which we hope will occur before Christmas.  Habitat for Humanity is EXIT Realty’s charity of choice.  We have been blessed to participate this weekend.”
